with the Windows freeware Live Movie Maker you can set the clip to play back at 0.125 slowmotion, so it plays at a spead close to the 4fps originally used for shooting.

Of course with specific software you can stretch it back to 4 fps, e.g. Also, it shoots at 4 fps but the playback is still 25 or 30 fps, so it actually gives you a low-light timelapse shooting. This can be great for shooting storms at night, in extreme low light conditions.
But for stormchasing it has a few nice features specifically, such as FPS override, so in FHD 1080 video instead of being stuck at 25 or 24 or 30 fps, I can go as low as 4 fps, with exposure times instead of 1/30 sec. The method involves quite a bit of tech, which I dont full understand, but it involves changing the way the sensor is being amplified. (The develpment name is a boring four letters acronym: ADTG) Their latest announcement revels a great feature call ML ISO, as opposed to “Canon ISO”. On the other, they realese incredible features for Canon touching an all aspects of the camera, from RAW video to (the dynamic range enhancing) dual ISO. On one hand they are not part of te official Canon team. Magic Lantern are a werid creature to digest.
